This job location is Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
Responsibilities
Direct group's overall marketing and strategic planning programmes. Establish strong brand and facilitate client development through marketing and client services programs.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Formulate and develop strategic marketing plans and programmes to align to international business objectives and support growth targets.
· Monitor and understand pulp commodity and paper market trends and dynamics. From fundamental and technical analysis, develop price forecasts and marketing strategies to project proper global market positioning, pricing, and segmentation of the company's pulp and paper products
· Provide technical expertise and advice in the marketing arena to senior management at board level with regards to tactical and strategic decisions facing the Group
· Manage market studies and customer/product research on a regular basis to ensure competitiveness of company's products. Understand the market intelligence for pulp paper, to collate global market/industry information for consideration and action
· Analyze market potential through researching and reviewing information on competitors including product performance, branding, pricing, promotions, and sales.
· Create and establish a strong brand. Plan, execute and manage global marketing programs and new branding communication and positioning strategies.
· Work with sales directors to set direct sales activities to achieve sales targets, to react and respond with corrective actions with the marketing team if necessary
· Manage external agencies to ensure timely development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing communication campaigns, manage A & P budget
Requirements
· Bachelor degree in Business Administration. MBA preferred.
· At least 15 years experience in international sales and marketing management, with deep domain knowledge in two or more of these key industries (Pulp & Paper, FMCG, Metals, Mining & Minerals and/or Power & Utilities)
· Proven track record in role as Marketing Director
· Experience in channel management, commodity, B2B and B2C marketing
· Experience in leading and motivating a team of marketing / sales with a strong understanding of market & customer relations management
· Self-directed, highly motivated, detail oriented risk-taker & tough decision maker i.e. one who calculates risk and takes action despite uncertainty of outcome and willing to accept consequences of failure
· Strong, aggressive and yet amicable negotiation skills
· Excellent interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
· Good leadership and managerial skills
· Ability to speak English would be an added advantage
