Purpose of Role:   

 To assist in upgrading and reforming the existing web solutions. This includes any backend database related modifications/changes and data manipulation required. The role will also help with various projects that require new interfaces to be created or modified within the ISC control tower. To provide best software development practices to the ISC team to support the team in delivering best in class services to Woolworths Group.     

Key responsibilities:   

 ·    Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of our SQL database, being able to query and batch insert/update/delete when required. Must know SQL inside and out. 

 ·       Assist in the development of new applications and maintain existing applications for web-based platforms. ·       

Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices. 

 ·       Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address needs in all areas of the business. 

 ·       Have a deep understanding of ISC system solutions, data integration solutions, business process and finance process to contribute in the business process improvement, system solution improvement and business improvement projects. 

 ·       To develop and maintain business and technical documentation, such as business requirements, solution design, functional specifications, technical specifications etc.                     

Career Experiences:             

·       Working experience in software development, using Microsoft SQL Server 2014+, T-SQL, and T-SQL language (queries, views, procedures). 

·       Working experience in web site development, including UX/UI design, responsive design, and database design, etc. ·       In-depth knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures related to database management.  

·       SQL Server Database Design (tables/indexing), Stored Procedure Design and implementation. 

 ·       Experience coding complex stored procedures (using T-SQL/Xquery). 

 ·       Experience with developing and maintaining SSIS packages 

 ·       Strong .NET C# web coding skills, with emphasis on upgrading .NET Framework from 3.5 to 4.5. 

 ·       Jscript/CSS/HTML and Python coding skill. 

 ·       Proven analytical problem solving and debugging skills 

 ·       Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance 

 ·       Tertiary qualification in IT (e.g. MCSD)
