Exams IT Service Delivery Officer(CHI-555)

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

China is one of British Council’s largest exams operations, delivering extensive international exams to individuals, institutions, schools and corporate clients in mainland China. By providing access to highly valued UK qualifications, with the reassurance of integrity, we build on the UK’s reputation for world-class educational standards. Core tests we administer include IELTS, Aptis, and a wide range of academic and professional qualifications (Distribution Exams stream). The Distribution Exams stream in China encompasses school exams, professional exams, and university exams and is a critical part of our exams business.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

You will support the service delivery projects for Computer Based tests & national digital projects in East of China and ensure the quality of project delivery.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To qualify for this role, you will need:

1. Language ability: English B2 Aptis IELTS 6 or equivalent); Chinese C1 ( HSK 5 or equivalent );

2. Demonstrable experience of:

Supporting IT projects or systems and IT support experience on both software and hardware;

3. IT skills: Relevant knowledge and experience in supporting Windows Operation Systems;trouble shooting for applications, and supporting network and PC hardware;

Certification of SQL Server 2008 / SQL Server 2012 is highly preferred.

British Council China

The British Council has had a presence in China since 1943, and since 1979 we have been operating as the Culture and Education Section of the British Embassy and Consulate-Generals in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing. We also opened our first English centre in Mainland China in September 2017, based in Nanjing.
