MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Advise assigned business unit(s) to enable adoption of Medtronic therapies in Greater China via medical science support across the product lifecycle.  Build areas of expertise in Medical Affairs (eg. medical strategy, training & education, scientific engagement, etc.) to provide expertise across the enterprise.

MAIN JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Maintains a deep understanding of the science behind our products.

• Develops, implements and oversees integrated evidence-based medical affairs strategic plans (eg. medical strategy) for relevant Medtronic organizations.

• Drives education and outreach for safe and effective use of our products.

• Develops competitive intelligence in our product space.

• Provide medical expertise and strategic input to advance regional strategic initiatives including, but not limited to, Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC), strategic planning, R&D and mergers & acquisitions (M&A), cross-selling, digital health, etc. 

• Provide medical expertise to business partners (general management, marketing, etc.) to facilitate insightful decision-making and enable achievement of business objectives.

• Ensures effective objective value propositions are developed and articulated for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders (patients, health care providers, payers, government agencies, health technology assessment organizations, public) through appropriate channels.

• MD designation only: Licensed MD may also interpret clinical trials/research, sign off on product safety reviews, establishes and approves scientific methods for design and implementation of clinical protocols, and final reports.

• Build effective relationship with regulators through strategic education programs

• Key Opinion Leaders and National Faculty management

• Point of contact and liaison for global medical affairs colleagues in assigned business unit(s)

JOB QUALIFICATION

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge / Education

Bachelor degree or above，

MD degree is preferred

Job Experience

5 Years or more related working experience

Skills / Competency

Interpersonal Communication Skills 

Self motivation and good personality

Leadership skills

Competence to energize other staff

Native Chinese

Fluent English and Windows Office

PREFERENCES

Pharmaceutical background with Diabetes knowledge Preferre
