We are currently seeking a Senior Store Planning Manager who will report to the General Manager as part of our dynamic China team, based in Shanghai.

How you will contribute

Head of Store Planning is to complete new store projects, refurbishment projects and store maintenance with high quality and high efficiency. He or she is the gatekeeper for any changes to models for store planning and layout design activities, including new stores, renovations, re-sets, etc., so as to ensure the optimization of operational effectiveness and customer experience, to incorporate new business elements and to reduce costs.

  • Execute store planning related guidelines provided by Headquarter. Complete new store project and store maintenance, meeting objectives and timelines.
  • Management of the annual planning process for new stores, renovations, and refurbishments with respect to need, timing, required features, budget etc. Set priorities in collaboration with operators and ensure that construction, refurbishment and renovation plans meet operational standards and enhance customer experience.
  • In collaboration with Headquarter to develop store design standards, including layout, fixture requirements, department and category space allocation, ensuring that standards promote operational effectiveness and contribute to save construction or renovation costs.
  • Collaborate with stores, various departments to increase overall consistency among stores in format while accommodating exceptions that address unique store or market issues when warranted. Incorporate input from operations, merchandising, new business categories, best practice research, customer feedback and Retail Construction companies for benchmarking in store layout flows, designs, and fixture, etc.
  • Liaise with landlord, Retail Operations and finance to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project plans and sales projection.
  • In collaboration with finance, manage all reporting aspects for all projects.
  • Lead store project manager to manage well :
  • the store layout design together with Headquarter.
  • the coordination of new store project together with landlord and architect, including the tendering process.
  • the new store project construction, quality, timeline and budget.
  • the handover of new store to Retail operations.
  • Lead project planner to manage well material purchase, logistics, payment, contracting and documentation.
  • Lead store facility manager to manage well store maintenance, price quotation, and budget.

Who you are

  • More than 12 years of related experience for big brands.
  • Self-confident, independent, responsible, well-organized and analytical.
  • Good project management.
  • Good communication and coordination
  • Good English both spoken and written.
