Responsibilities

• Continually review and evolve existing platform architecture to adopt leading IT methodologies i.e.: micro-service, container, continues delivery/deployment, ITIL
• Design and develop automated processes to maintain, upgrade, test, monitor component environment
• Provide technical thought leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives
• Prepare and perform application configuration changes (including all components)
• Application component installation, configuration, upgrade and tuning including monitoring and performance metrics definition (components like Apigee, Redis, Memcache, IRM)
• Analyze requirements of new and existing application components, propose and implement infrastructure changes and improvements
• Work with Dev team to keep Prod configuration in sync with other environments
• Automate manual repeatable workarounds
• Communicate with vendors of used software products and tools
• Participate in Agile Scrum activities: daily standup, demo session, retrospective, planning, etc.

 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related majors
• Minimum 3 year of At least relevant experience. Intermediate level of all relevant professional skills
• Good fundamentals in Disaster recovery strategy, Performance Optimization, Cluster solution operation, Application Performance Management (Monitoring)
• Solid hands-on experience on Linux and Java web application supporting (Tomcat/Websphere), various server operating systems (both MS Windows and Linux families) and standard software commonly used on both platforms
• Understanding of concepts of software development cycle
• Expected to demonstrate ability to learn and systematize business knowledge
• Upper Intermediate (CEFR B1) or higher level of spoken and written English

 

Nice to have

• Experience with log analysis tools (Splunk, Kibana)
• Basic experience as an Application Engineer (.NET, Scala and/or Java)
• General knowledge of software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews
• Understanding of security aspects in developing web-based applications
• Self-management and strong prioritization skills
