职位描述
In this role, you will:
- Utilizing SME knowledge in the compliance monitoring and testing, risk assurance, risk environment to support the business, and identifying and make decisions on how to implement changes that mitigate risks that may result in the first and second Lines of Defence (1 & 2LoD) performing their role more effectively
- Supporting the design and maintenance of the monitoring methodology, standards, processes and procedures (and training thereof) for the Global RC Risk Assurance (RCRA) function and overseeing the development and maintenance of effective tools and technology to support the activity
- Providing risk response capability to address emerging and ad hoc high risk events, global thematic risk priorities and supporting regional teams by helping complete RCRA work, in order to meet internal and regulatory expectations
- Working closely with the System, Control and Analytics team (SCA), to help develop our predictive analytics capability, as well as leverage SCA in response to risk response events
- Carrying out thorough preparation and high-quality reviews of First Line of Defence (1LoD) controls
- Fostering a close working relationship with key stakeholders, including the Compliance teams, Monitoring Teams, COOs and other senior management in the business, including keeping abreast of key business, regulatory and industry developments and any changes to procedures and practices
- Contributing to the preparation of compliance risk assessments, drawing on the experience and knowledge of the RC team and with the active participation of senior managers in the Business
- Contributing to the preparation of monitoring plans and reviews for applicable business lines in sites
- Contributing to the preparation of consolidated MI on the results of monitoring for senior managers in the Business
- Contributing to the provision of education and support to monitoring specialists in risk assessments, planning and conducting reviews
- Preparing reports to inform key stakeholders of the outcome of monitoring and review work, including rating findings and assigning owners/actions
Qualifications To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years proven relevant working experience as compliance, legal, audit or risk management staff at life insurance company
- Exposure to demanding operational environments to gain insight into the most effective compliance management applications
- Working across all levels of the organization to understand cross-functional linkages and interdependencies, as well as the implications of compliance at both a strategic level and at the business unit level.? Experience of leading and coordinating a sizeable team.
Skills
- Demonstrated board-based business knowledge and the regulatory requirements of the insurance industry and securities laws & regulations in China, which helps to determine solutions around appropriate compliance measures, processes, risk assurance and management;
- Excellent communication both oral and written English and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for compliance management in the language of business;
- Proven organizational, planning, interpersonal, managerial, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and team building skills.
- Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most middle level in the organization, and to drive changes;
- Demonstrated ability to assess Compliance trends, both internally and externally;
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and proven ability to meet challenging deadlines;
- Ability to exercise discretion, work independently within broad guidelines, tactfully handle sensitive and confidential data and complete assignments timely;
- Ability to work with and also to lead different cultural groups and build consensus.
