As a R&D Electrical Engineer, ABB Drives is a pioneering technology leader, providing products and solutions to help our customers maximize productivity, safety and energy efficiency, with a focus on reducing impact on the environment.

You will contribute significantly to successful results in projects in System Drives Product Group/ Drives Business Line/ Motion Business in Beijing/China country/NAS region. You will utilize your knowledge and skills in technology and/or product development to identify and implement innovative solutions.

- Electrical design for LV and MV drive products, including main circuit design, control circuit design, component dimensioning, BoM collection and update, etc.
- Testing for LV and MV drive products, including testing plan drafting, building testing system, testing, testing results analysis, testing report drafting, etc.
- Reliability design for LV and MV drive products, including reliability plan drafting, FIT calculation, DFMEA design, component lifetime calculation, HALT, ALT, environment testing, design margin testing, etc.
- Supporting internal and external customers on technical challenges.
- Take part in electrical design for LV and MV switchgear and control device, including main circuit design / control circuit design, component dimensioning, BoM / configuration table collection and upgrade.
- Working as a friendly and proactive member in R&D organization.

- Master’s or above degree from Electrical Engineering, Automation or related area.
- 3+ years of Agile development environment working experience.
- Familiar with electrical design related work in LV or MV drive products, familiar with Eplan is preferred.
- Knowledge on testing and certification related work in LV or MV drive products, related actual experience is preferred.
- Knowledge on reliability design related work in LV or MV drive products, actual experience is an added advantage.
- Familiar with actual testing, and familiar with usual testing instrument.
- Familiar with inside component characters and electrical design for LV or MV switchgear and control devices, actual experience in the design or testing of LV or MV switchgear and control devices is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, positive attitude and a team player.
- Fluent in English.
