Role purpose

Be a member of dynamic regulatory team in China. Support the dossier building to maintain the existing or gain new approvals of GM products for import and cultivation purpose in China from the authority. Support the application preparation and the permitting process of seeds movement for China R&D activities. Support the compliance program of GM and quarantine of trialling and seeds movement in country

Accountabilities

• Understand the Chinese GM regulation process and requirements.  
• Build deep understanding of format and data requirements of regulatory dossier.
• Deliver the data and info heavy dossiers in quality and timely manner
• Work with team to manage other things of submission under pressure.   

• Understand the regulation and process of seeds import, export and movement within China.
• Prepare the application for seeds movement permit including collecting data/info from colleagues sitting in different functions and geographies.   
• Track the permitting process with interaction with official and communicate progress to internal stakeholders.
• Achieve the documentations of seeds movements.

• Understand the GM and quarantine compliance requirements for trialling and seeds movement.
• Understand the Syngenta compliance system and way of working.
• Support to conduct internal compliance inspection and maintain the documentation.

Support the preparation and hosting the external compliance inspection and audit. 

Knowledge, experience & capabilities  

 Critical knowledge 

 Master or higher degree in Plant Biotechnology, Plant Breeding, Plant Genetics, or related field. 

 Good understanding of plant breeding and biotechnologies. 

 Knowing the regulatory requirements is preferred. 

 Critical experience 

 3 yrs+ experience in plant breeding, biotech research, or related filed. Regulatory or Product safety experience is preferred. 

 Experience working with diverse teams is preferred.

 Ability to work closely with diverse and dynamic team and partners Ability to learn new things and gain points to deliver quickly. 

 Ability to maintain patience and care details in dossier and documentations.
