Job Description
Position: MEP Consultant
Location: Shanghai, China
Job Responsibilities
1. Attend workshops in the capacity as MEP Consultant. Take part in technical design review and the production of technical design review reports.
2. Prepare and assist in the preparation of all aspects of reports, with particular emphasis on the budget costs and technical sections of electrical/M&E services.
3. Provide general M&E engineering advice and support to GLEEDS staff and clients as required.
4. Prepare and assist in the preparation of M&E services cost reviews for variations and schedules of costs submitted by contractors/clients on on-going projects.
5. Attend site as required for the purposes of verifying contractors progress and quality and for assistance in solving site based M&E technical questions.
6. Provide and offer input and assistance as required and directed by manager and other senior GLEEDS staff.
Competencies
Education & Qualification
1st Degree in M&E Engineering
Knowledge & Experience
1. 6-8 years relevant experience. Experience in design institute.
2. Working knowledge of China's HSE requirements;
3. Working knowledge of relevant China codes and China rules and regulations;
4. Woking knowledge of the design & specification of M&E engineering services.
Functional Skills
1. Understanding of GLEEDS's responsibilities on the project
2. Ability to write, understand and apply Employer Requirements
3. Project planning ability
4. Ability to understand commercial impact for the Client of operational effectiveness, maintenance demands and progress delays
