Asia CIB Business Support Management (BSM) serves as a partner to CIB Lines of Business in Asia Pacific, working closely with respective business managers, senior management and all related support groups (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Real Estate, Technology, Control Management and HR).

  

  

The principal activities of the group are:

  

? Assistant Management (AM):

  

o Work with managers within the LoB to provide oversight and management of Administrative Assistants.

  

? Business Change Management (BCM):

  

o Accountable for control-focused activities pertaining to business change and continuity support.

  

? Expense Management (EM):

  

o Subject matter expert on CIB related Travel and Entertainment (T&E) Expense Policy

  

o Perform Business unit review and approval for T&E submissions

  

o Provide Assistant and user training /support on expense processing and policy

  

  

The mandate for Asia CIB BSM team has continued to grow as the business strategy in the region develops. BSM currently has a presence in the strategic CIB operating hubs – Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia. With the firm’s expansion plans involving China, a decision has been made to provide BSM support to JPMC’s Shanghai and Beijing locations.

  

  

Located in Shanghai / Beijing (respectively), the BSM Candidate will report functionally to the Asia BSM China lead and will support the BSM China Agenda across all disciplines of BSM as required in location.

  

  

Responsibilities for BSM Candidate will include:

  2. Assistant Management (AM):
  3. Resource management, mobility, talent management, training and development and objective performance evaluation of assistant population.
  4. Analysis and review on capacity, functionality, and resource allocations.
  5. Business Change Management (BCM):
  6. Management of Joiner / Leaver / Transfer’s system access
  7. floor/physical access control for CIB restricted areas
  8. Real Estate and Workspace management, review/approval/provisioning of technology hardware,
  9. Business continuity plan coordinator support
  10. Supporting real-estate activities including move champion as required

                      

· Expense Management (EM):

  

- Ongoing partnership to share updates to CIB related Travel and Entertainment (T&E) Expense Policy as required

  

- Perform Business unit review and approval for T&E submissions as required

  

- Manage the expense exception approval (EEA) process through the EXACT tool

  

- Provide Assistant and user training /support on expense processing and policy

  • Ensure close partnership with key stakeholders
  • Liaise between the Line of Business (LOB), BSM Mumbai HUB and Offshore BSM teams to execute daily activity.

      

· Other

  

- Assisting in ad hoc Business Support Management projects

  

- Other responsibilities and task as delegated by BSM China & Regional Leads

  

  

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

  • Proven people management track record, especially in managing change
  • Able to bring the best out in people and develop talent
  • Ability to implement new processes, escalate issues and communicate with influence
  • Ability to analyse processes and issues: troubleshoot, make connections, leverage data and problem solve.
  • Experience in operating across multiple locations, with different languages, customs and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong control mind-set and attention to detail
  • Previous working experiences of control functions would be valuable
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities especially excel and power point
  • Minimum 5 years working experience, preferable Investment Banking

  • Be a self-starter, prioritize and manage a demanding workload
