Roles & Responsibilities

· Create 3D concept and/or A-Class surface data from 2D sketch and verbal inputs from designers utilising Alias/ICEM 

· Create 3D polygon concept models from sketch and verbal direction from designers utilizing Maya and/or Speedform 

· Develop technically feasible digital surfaces aligned with program milestone requirements that delivers design intent 

· Support digital surface reviews utilising Alias/VRED 

· Work collaboratively with team; engineering, design, modelling and fabrication. 

· Recognise design and feasibility challenges and proactively communicate concerns and ideas to appropriate parties 

Qualifications & Skills Required

· Qualifications Required: Degree in Industrial/Automotive Design or Mechanical Engineering preferred. 

· Experienced in developing 3D surface models utilising Alias/ICEM 

· Experienced in developing polygon concept models utilising Maya/Speedform is preferred. 

· Demonstrate a working knowledge and application of engineering and manufacturing feasibility criteria relative to the design of automotive exterior and interior systems 

· Knowledge of visualisation tools such as VRED is preferred. 

· Ability to learn new 3D software packages. 

· A basic knowledge of Catia V5 

· Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Power Point, Excel and Word)
