Intel industrial solutions segment within the Internet of Things Group (IOTG) China is seeking an industry automation application engineer focused on the growing Intel’s overall opportunity in control automation segment. You will define and drive landing opportunity of Intel’s industrial automation product as well as ecosystem development in China. This job will work closely with global division headquarters, Sales & Marketing Group (SMG), various engineering team and cross-group stakeholders. You will be challenged to define and convert industry relevant challenges in the area of plant automation, control system and analytics with latest technology in a preference of Intel products. You will work with other team members to envision and create prototypes that use emerging technology, such as industrial internet middleware, distributed architecture, and digital mining, to achieve measurable business results and outcomes. You will work with Intel partners and ecosystems to create standards of new era of manufacturing automation/control system and its application.

Qualification:

- Masters or Ph.D in Computer Science or closely related areas with 8+ years of experience in the high tech industries.

- Deep understanding AI & edge computing architectures, including but not limited to x86 (Intel & AMD), RISC (PowerPC & ARM), etc. and related hypervisor technologies (KVM, mvware, Hyper-V, ACRN, etc.)

- Extensive knowledge with working principle and structure of industrial automation device/control system, including but not limited to industrial PC, PLC, HMI, robotic controller, motion controller, motor drive, etc.)

- 3+ years' experience in C/C++, scripts, Python and Java

- Excellent oral & written communication skills, both in Mandarin & Chinese. Presentation experience in major industrial events is highly preferred.

- Excellent problem solving skills, comfortable working through program and technical ambiguity by working independently, proactively, and multitask effectively. Work well in team environment

- Willing to travel within PRC and internationally, up to 30%
