As an AME Engineer, ABB Motors and Generators deliver a complete range of motors, generators and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. We provide the highest quality and service to our customers all around the world, with a focus on helping to use energy more efficiently.

You will drive improvements throughout production in Large Motors & Generators Product Group/ Motors & Generators Business Line/ Motion Business in Shanghai/China country/NAS region. Reporting to the AME Manager, your focus will be on optimizing the manufacturing process through innovation in a cost-effective way.

- Preparing SOP and process quality control documents and ensure that the contents specified in the documents are not separated from the production practice, clear and easy to understand, and can be effectively realized in the production process and achieve the desired effect.
- Preparing the tooling or equipment required for the new product within the specified time. On the premise of ensuring the safety of operation, the existing tooling structure is constantly optimized to increase versatility, reduce cost, reduce labor intensity and improve work efficiency.
- According to the requirements from APQA, actively participate in the research and development of new products, and timely prepare effective process (such as instructions, PFMEA, etc.) and process quality control documents.
- Leading the temporary occurrence of important quality or technical problems on site, go deep into the site, continuously promote the solution of problems, resume production as soon as possible, and ensure delivery.
- Tracking and counting the process quality or technical problems that have been confusing the production (or customer site) for a long time, use common quality tools, plan effective investigation and verification tests, and conduct in-depth implementation on site, so as to ultimately solve these problems and improve process quality. And accurately record and file the resolution process.
- Preparing and effectively implementing the process discipline audit plan. For each audit, there should be an objective and accurate report.
- Being able to correctly understanding and using PDCA, lean production and six sigma and other continuous improvement tools to improve process capability, reduce waste and improve output in the responsible area.
- Master the project management skills and managing new production introduction through training.
- Providing technical support for some other departments like front-end sales, customer complaints, supply chain and project management to improve internal and external customer satisfaction.

- Bachelor’s Degree or above, 3+ years of working experience in Motor, Electrical, Mechanical background.
- Master in the basic electrical theory and good drawing and reading skills.
- Familiar with electrical design manual and international standards
- Expertise in production field.
- Proficient in CAD & Office.
- Experience in motor insulation and NPI project management is preferred.
- Understanding of TS16949, six sigma quality system and tools is an added advantage.
- Master lean production concepts and tools and ngaged in large and medium-sized motor design and technology is considered as a plus.
- Proficient in IEC, NEMA and other motor industry standards is preferred.
- Be proactively in work, combine theory with practice, analyze rigorously and have strong logical thinking ability.
- Strong self-learning ability, be aggressive, constantly learn new knowledge and skills according to the needs of the position and can correctly apply to the actual work.
- Good in execution, planning, teamwork and communication.
- Fluent in oral and written Mandarin and English.
