Position: EHS & IP Manager Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance of Caterpillar Wuxi R&D Center (CRDC Wuxi) with respective Chinese law and Caterpillar policies. It is also responsible for information security and protection of intellectual property (IP). The incumbent needs to work with corporate and PD> process partners and various engineering, technical, shared services managers at CRDC Wuxi to enact appropriate processes and handbooks, educate employees, and ensure that all employees, offices, and labs follow the EHS and IP policies. Regular communications and interactions with leaders of collocated BUs and process partners are needed. The incumbent needs to keep a good relationship with related Bureaus of the local government from compliance perspectives, filling out regular paper works required by local government and Caterpillar process partners. The incumbent is responsible for leading incident investigation and file reports to the operations manager and the managing director of CRDC. The position plays a critical role in CRDC crisis management. Reporting to this position are staff and technicians in EHS and IP management area. The incumbent need to develop his team to meet the increasing demand of EHS and IP protection as CRD Wuxi continue to grow rapidly.


Qualifications
? The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, EHS, or intellectual property related jobs
? Have minimum 2 years of supervision experience
? Self-starter (initiative and sense of urgency in work)
? Good stress tolerance (Ability to work efficiently / effectively in stressful situations)
? Good people / interpersonal skills
? Good communication skills
? Strong customer focus
? Task management skills (multiple tasks & priorities)
? Analytical (troubleshooting and analysis) skills
? Ability to learn quickly and retain pertinent information
? Fluent in English

Desirable Qualifications
? Knowledge or job experience of Environmental, Health, Safety, and security
? Knowledge or job experience in intellectual property management and protection
? Job experience in automotive or engineering machinery
? Strong leadership skills and oversea experience
