For our Marketing, Sales and Product Management team, understanding the full potential of our technology and the trends in our markets is highly rewarding. As a Heavy Industry Engineer, you will be part of the Motion Business and Drives Business Line (BL), based in Beijing. ABB is the World leader in Motion Business offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will drive the sales performance in System Drives Product Group/ Drives Business Line (BL)/ Motion Business in Beijing /China country/NAS region. Collect and analyze industrial marketing information and competitors’ information, follow the development trend. You will become industrial expertise, contact with influential industry association and strengthen ABB branding. Collect new product and application cases and promote them inside ABB and among channel partners. Plan and participate in marketing activities within industry, organize expert workshop or info-sharing seminar.


- Clarify the target and list of target customers (except KAM and regional industry sales listing customer).
- Lead national key account (EU)/ strategic big project bidding and cross-regional channel partner, project cooperation and customer follow-up.
- Based on customer request, propose customized products or solution for the industry/application and take actions. Support the action plan of KAM, region and area, to coordinate all parties to develop orderly, under the guidance of industrial strategy.
- Define Optimum value proposition to industry with current product/service. Define industry specific product roadmap with product managers and global industry managers.
- Pay attention to key and potential customers of competitors, select target product and solution, gradually involve and increase ABB market share.
- Support regional industry sales by organize monthly Tel-conference (transfer core competence, update target customers, projects and business development), adjust work plan according to industrial changes.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.


- Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Electrical/ Automation Engineering etc.
- 3-5 years of Sales working experience in Drive System.
- Prior technical training or presentation experience, selling and interpersonal skills are preferred.
- Proven ability to work as a member of a collaboration sales team, very good knowledge and understanding of drive products will be considered as an added advantage.
- Proficient PC skills and good command of Microsoft Office.
- Good communication ability and team work.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
