Your role:

  

- Perform key control testing and assist in Internal Control Procedural assessment Process

  

- Liaise and coordinate with different stakeholders across various teams on key procedural controls requirements

  

- Facilitate the regular risk meetings, including meeting coordination, preparation of risk reports, key control indicators, meeting minutes and liaison with risk experts to follow up on all remediation actions on residual risks

  

- Ensure a consistent and effective implementation of key control framework (i.e. review risk event in SORT, assist in investigation of risk events root cause analysis, etc)

  

- Acts as a subject matter expert on overall risk and control management for the middle office by conducting trainings and raise awareness on control governance across trade lifecycle support teams in HK, Sydney and China.

  

- Work closely with Operational Risk team and ensure compliance with all relevant global guidelines/requirements as well as Operation department policies & procedures.

  

- Any other responsibilities / task as assigned by management from time to time

  

  

The role will be a member of the APAC Risk & Control Team within Middle Office supporting EQ and ETD businesses in Hong Kong. Our role is to focus on all risk and control related issues and matters, governance across the APAC region.

  

You will work directly with the Trade Support teams, Lifecycle Control team and Reporting team within Equities TLS & ETD, covering all aspects of trade and lifecycle control processes.

  

  

Experience and Skills

  

  

You have:

  

  

- A University Degree or qualifications

  

- Ideally, over 5 years of experience in a middle office environment, preferably within the financial services industry

  

- A strong risk mindset and problem-solving skills. Good project management and meticulous attention to details

  

- Solid Excel skills (and programming skills particularly in SQL and VBA would be an advantage)

  

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze trends and create graphs and charts from large data sets

  

- Good report writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively to audiences of all

  

- Experience in risk management (1st or 2nd line) will be an advantage

  

- Awareness and knowledge in financial markets, asset classes and financial products
