Job Description:

As a MRPC, you will be playing an important role with a Supplier Management Team in Rolls-Royce Aerospace Supply Chain. You will be directly reporting to Supplier Management Team Manger and functionally to Production Planning and Control Manager. Planning and Control is responsible for the planning, introduction and control of product supply activities from raw material purchasing coverage to delivery of the finished product - including the flow of information and physical material. You will be wholly responsible for your defined portfolio of products & components (parts / items). You will drive on time delivery through effective planning whilst maintaining ERP and supporting systems. Working within an operational team you will identify, prioritise, mitigate and resolve delivery issues within the supply chain that may impact the customer. You will maintain the executive ERP system with relevant current data and information, whilst ensuring that any inventory is optimised.

  

You will be joining Supplier Management Team – Forgings & Fabrications, Installations China and you will be looking after our fabrications suppliers to ensure that products are delivered on-time to meet the customers' agreed needs. You will also have opportunity to guide and coach newly developed supplier to establish a robust planning and control process that help them to be Right First Time.

  

Key Accountabilities (But not limited)

  • To create, maintain and communicate detailed production plans of specific part orders that are commitment accepted to enable the master production plan to be achieved and provide the Supply Chain Management Team, Supply Chain Manager with the implications of meeting customer requirements.

  • To advise the maintenance of component planning data that will enable cascade of demand through the supply chain resulting in a committed plan whilst planning and managing stock across the supply chain ensuring levels specified are maintained and is used in the appropriate order (First In First Out) and time frame.

  • To ensure specified supplier delivery commitments are reflected in SAP, respond to supplier enquiries and manage adherence of schedule lines to ensure delivery to plan, including new parts introduction and to ensure paperwork and information transfer in relation to all part movements is compliant with business and regulatory requirements.

  • Be the primary interface with suppliers to lead and co-ordinate all improvement activity associated with planning, control, inventory, delivery and lead time and resolving any unverified invoice queries and associated cost changes as a result of schedule changes.

        

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's with 4+ years of work experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing or manufacturing or

  • Master's degree with 2+ years of experience

  • SAP transaction experience with understanding of the requirements of the quality management system, inventory control and shipping or custom clearance requirement

  • An excellent communicator that is Robust in their approach along with problem solving and proactive skills. Experience in dealing with external supplier is a plus

  • English/Chinese speaking is essential
