Essential Job Functions:

Project work

Take responsibility for assigned projects of basic to moderate complexity with moderate level of guidance and direction.

· Prepare Statement of Work (SOW) (where applicable)

• Prepare test protocols based on
  information supplied by customer. Confirm customer acceptance
• Raise laboratory requests for any test
  work to be performed
• Interpret laboratory data and prepare
  specific test reports. Confirm customer acceptance

Maintain close customer and account manager liaison during projects. This will involve some or all of the following:

• Update customer of project status in
  particular if there are problems/issues with the project
• Answer customer technical questions
• Travel to customer site for technical
  meetings
• Give presentations and training

Establish project priorities and decide appropriate action required to meet required target

Schedule work into the laboratory in conjunction with the Laboratory Manager/Supervisor

Update manager of status of assigned projects, including completion, delays or problems

Report project progress (including time spent) using SLS Project Management database

Supporting activities

Maintain up to date knowledge of current regulatory trends, issues and guidelines relating to the products being supported

Support management in preparation for audits, including document review

Attend training courses as required

Take on ‘special’ projects as requested by management

Assist with training of new staff

Review and approve protocols and reports, if authorised

Minimum Qualifications:

· Degree or equivalent in Science/Engineering, 2-5 years relevant work experience

· Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broader capabilities

· Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgement and precedents

· Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations

· Knowledge of laboratory techniques and measurement methods

· Good written and verbal communication

· Fluent English

· Good people skills

· Conversant with PC based programmes

Other Requirements:

· Work safely and comply with the company’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

· On occasion may need to work outside of standard hours

· Hold current passport as will need to travel to other Pall sites or customer locations

· Hold full driving licence (where applicable)
