Technical support

Provide technical support for FTAP GI and Aerospace products. This will include some or all of the following:

· Regular fluid status analysis (oil based or water based fluid)

· Filterability studies in Pall SLS lab or at customer site if needed

· Field service for certain application to win or maintain market share

· Trouble shooting customer complaints and field investigations

· Operate water based filter performance test in Pall lab

Project work

Take responsibility for assigned projects, in broad areas of coverage

• Prepare test protocols based on
  information supplied by customer. Confirm customer acceptance
• Raise laboratory requests or perform
  personally for any test work to be performed
• Interpret laboratory data and prepare
  specific test reports. Confirm customer acceptance

Maintain close customer liaison during projects. This will involve some or all of the following:

• Update customer of project status in
  particular if there are problems/issues with the project
• Answer customer technical questions
• Travel to customer sites for technical
  meetings or to perform test work

Schedule work into the laboratory in conjunction with the Laboratory Manager/Supervisor

Update manager of status of assigned projects, including completion, delays or problems

Report project progress (including time spent) using Lots Notes.

Supporting activities

Attend training courses as required

Travel

Expected to travel in China region. for up to 50% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Master Degree or equivalent in Hydraulic or Mechanical engineering, 3-5 years relevant work experience

· Work independently and provide scientific analysis of data (able to apply a deep knowledge of scientific principles)

· Identify issues within a project and propose solutions based on current practices or ability to propose new ideas

· Use independent judgment for individual daily tasks, require minimal supervision

· Brief knowledge of laboratory techniques

· Good written and verbal communication

· Good interpersonal skills

· Self starter and self motivated

· Good English capability (reading, writing, listening, speaking), making sure could communicate with global colleagues smoothly
