As a Calculation/Analysis Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics and Discrete Automation (RA) Business and Robotics (BL) Business Line, based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Discrete Automation (RA) Business offering a wide range of products and services including robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

- Robot drive train calculation, optimization and specification in project.
- Robot performance and loads calculation, simulation and optimization.
- Support robot test, specification and user manual.
- Finish reports and keep traceability.
- Continuously improve the analysis tool and method in daily work.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- A Master’s or PHD Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience in robotics mechanical analysis.
- Good knowledge in motor and gear power train system, theoretical mechanics, robotics modeling.
- Familiar with SolidWorks or similar tool.
- Knowledge in servo control and robotics motion control is a plus.
- Excellent Knowledge in MATLAB or equivalent is a plus.
- Team work spirit, collaboration with local and international team.
- Fluent in oral and written English communication skill.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
