KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES:

– Partner with internal Business Units to cultivate innovative data, analytics, and AI projects 

1. Collaborate with internal Business Units to understand their business needs, gather business requirements, propose and refine solutions based on new and innovative technologies, software, or platform, and deliver value-add POCs 

2. Analyze existing data / analytics / business models within internal Business Units to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, process, resources, or generation of valuable business insight

– Manage data solutions data structure and architecture and development support

3.Development of technical best practices for data architecture, data transformations, data quality, data cleansing, ETL and other data movement related activities

4.Design and develop high performance ETL process/code to load data

5.Create, manage, and manipulate large datasets containing organization information. 

6.Create complex ad-hoc analysis, data validation, data integration, and data security plan.

7.Work with scientists and engineer to translate algorithms into data-science, data-driven for innovation effectiveness

8.Develop data analysis solutions and communicate results/recommendations to scientists 

9.Design meaningful database/backend specifications and play a role in the delivery of large analytic   projects

Act as a consultant and assess and apply new data architecture/AI/IOT methods to specific problem domains

REQUIREMENTS:

? MS/Ph.D in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related disciplines with at least 3 years of relevant experience in an academic institution or a pharmaceutical/biotech company.

? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

? Statistical Programming : R or Python or Matlab

? Knowledge and experience with relational database systems (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, etc.)

? Knowledge and experience with Hadoop/Spark/Cloud is preferred

？Data engineering experience, including SQL, ETL and experience manipulating data sets using Hadoop/Spark/Hive or other big data platforms.

？Understanding of key machine learning concepts and algorithms and experience with applying them towards solving business problems is preferred.

？Ability to write and speak in the English language

  Knowledge and experience in life science and pharmaceutical company is a plus
