We are looking for a capable and highly motivated engineer with a sound knowledge of wind turbine design (or related fields) who will provide dedicated support to our Asian customers on our world-leading turbine design software.

Bladed provides worldwide wind/tidal turbine and component manufacturers, certification agencies, design consultants and research organisations with a design tool that has been extensively validated against measured data from a wide range of turbines. It is the global industry-leading wind and tidal turbine design tool.   We are seeking an engineer who is able to build excellent relationships with customers by providing a high-quality support service.

As a member of the Bladed team the successful applicant will be expected to:         

  ·         Provide technical support of the software to Asian customers. Initially this will be 1st line support but in the longer term the role will expand to include 2nd line support 

  ·         Integrate with the development team in Bristol, helping them to understand customer needs and priorities ·         Work closely with the Bladed product owner and the sales team to seek out market opportunities relating to improved support provision 

  ·         Provide timely feedback about support outcomes to the development team including all information needed to make any necessary changes to the code   

  ·         Carry out training for customers 

  ·         Work at customer sites, possibly for extended periods 

  ·         Build an understanding of the software usage through support work and customer interaction in order to contribute to the software development roadmap            

Qualifications:

 ·         A commitment to customer care and relationship-building

 ·         Strong problem solving and analytical skills               

 ·         Fluent written and verbal communication in Chinese and English

 ·         Able to communicate in a clear, open, active and honest manner (verbal and written) and seeks understanding of other views

·         Driven to contribute to the success of the team

·         Keen to build good personal and professional relationships and collaborate to create results

·         Creative and takes initiative               

·         Engineering degree or equivalent with high grades.          

·         Experience in wind industry; knowledge of wind turbine technology

·         Knowledge of the Bladed software product would of course be a huge asset

·         Higher degree, ideally in wind turbine-related subject but could also be aerospace, structural, maritime or offshore-related.
