The successful candidate of this position will serve as a Quality Engineer in Storage Product Engineering Organization (SPE), playing critical role in delivering cutting edge Storage Array software. Candidate is expected to demonstrate strong motivation, problem solving and communication skills, and a proven record of meeting aggressive deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor, maintain, recover and harden the test environment

· Execute tests, triage failures, file bugs with support materials and assist with resolution of defects

· Maintain, design, develop and enhance test scripts

· Provide and maintain detailed status reporting on a regular cadence and as needed by the business

· Work with other team members in China and US to ensure seamless automated test coverage

· Represent the Quality Engineering team at various meetings

· Document policies, processes and procedures for test suites management and triage

· Participate in reviews of product features requirements, functional specs and design documents

· Identify and ensure comprehensive and resource-effective implementation of the test strategy

· Identify test gaps and drive their implementation by working closely with architect and developers

· Proactively identify problems and propose solutions

Essential Requirements

· Master’s degree in computer science, EE, mathematics or related field with strong foundation in mathematics and Computer Science

· Solid basic knowledge of networking, database, software and design pattern

· Working knowledge of at least one of the operating systems: Linux or Windows

· At least be proficient in 1 programming language: Java, C/C++/C#, Ruby or .net

· Solid Knowledge or rich experiences in storage development and test is a strong plus

· Knowledge/experience in Shell scripts, Python/Perl is a plus

· Familiar with software engineering and software testing process

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

· Able to communicate with others clearly, smoothly and effectively

· Sense of urgency and teamwork

· Deliver commitment on time, with high quality

· Fluent in English listening, speaking and writing
