For our Electrification Business, in particular for the BU Smart Buildings, we are looking for a Global Product Specialist who will support the Global Product Manager to optimize the product portfolio and return on investment.

Mission Statement:

As Global Product Specialist, accountable for the new market development and product management to support profitable growth of global emerging markets focusing on residential and commercial applications.

Tasks:

1. Market situation analysis

Lead market intelligence analysis; understand and define market segmentation and related product positioning; identify potential opportunities to enhance the portfolio, both against competition and new market opportunity.

2. Product Portfolio Strategy

Support GPM and GPMM to define product strategy, market entry strategy, and market communication strategy for selected markets. Contribute to business strategy definition and translate business strategy into the product portfolio through market and customer segmentation.

3. Existing products

Understand the technical and market specification for product and determine a product business plan that supports sustainable growth. Support GPM to manage life cycle management process, analyze current product, define and track performance metrics, plan appropriate measures (e.g. enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs).

4. Internal/external interface

Act as interface between external markets and internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, and R&D), forecasting volume trends on a regular basis to ensure Operation’s capability to fulfil customer orders.

5. New product development

Define new product with clear technical requirement and business case targets including price positioning, volume forecast, product cost, etc. Contribute to development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, follow-up of product portfolio performance. Prepare product market communication materials for product launch.

6. Product values

Define product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensure clear communication to channels and users, to deliver clear product positioning within the portfolio.

7. Offering to market

Keep Product Group, Sales and channels informed on topics related to the product, such as new product availability, market, competition, quality, configuration, trends and limitations. Provide sales support, participate in customer meetings and attends trade shows on request. Support marketing programs. Ensure appropriate training material is available for use both internally and externally.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor or a Master degree in Electrical, Electronic or Energy Engineer.

• A previous at least five years experience with three years experience in the same role is required and business development role is plus;

• A previous experience in low voltage or final power distribution application is plus

• Good knowledge of global emerging markets for low voltage application is plus

• Fluent in English both written and spoken

• Availability for national and international business trip is required

• Team working, good interpersonal skills, results orientation, innovation spirit, proactivity and leadership will complete your profile.
