As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Power Grids (PG) Business and Grid Integration Business Line (BL), based in Beijing. ABB is World’s No.1 in Power Products Business and the product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB’s manufacturing network for Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products’ performance and extend their lifespan.

You will be the design authority for diverse engineering projects in HVDC Product Group/ Grid Integration Business Line (BL)/ Power Grids (PG) Business in Beijing /China country/NAS region. You will be responsible for the successful delivery for multiple projects on time, within budget, and in line with contract specifications and relevant quality and safety guidelines.

- Project pre-tender stage, work closely with sales team as core capture team, approaching customer to present ABB's technical solution and collect technical preference from customer, and together with global team, work out optimized technical solution for HVDC system or product.
- During project tendering stage, work closely with sales and tender team, make good understanding of customer technical specification, make sure good capture of order through risk analysis and lead preparing the technical bidding document.
- During project execution stage, Work closely together with project manager as core project team, responsible for solution, communication, risk analysis, project planning, etc. mainly in technical perspective.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

- Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Electrical Engineer, Power System, High Voltage field.
- More than 3 years of working experience in Electrical Engineering, Power System Area.
- Strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills, especially in power system and project related.
- Good knowledge and experience in HVDC, high voltage product is considered as an added advantage.
- Team player with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good awareness of IP.
- Willing to travel both domestic and international on business work.
- Fluent in oral and written English and Mandarin (Additional language skills is an added advantage).
