Role Description:

Our focus is on technical innovation and excellence in Big Data Analytics product design for Automotive industry – Connected vehicles, Telematics, Fleet Management etc. The group has responsibility for design, implementation and verification to meet requirements of different Automotive customers across multiple areas.   Now we are looking for software architect with good design and leadership skills. This role carries technical responsibility including providing End-to-End solutions, making decision on detailed architecture design, jointly deciding on usage of 3PPs, taking part in solution review and code inspection, and so on.         

Responsibilities:  

·       Be accountable for product software design throughout the complete life-cycle.

·       Work in Scrum team to focus on quick study, solution/architecture design based on assigned requirement items in product backlog.

·       Hold the technical lead in the Scrum team during software development.

·       Lead and participate in software implementations, ensuring code quality. Provide design guideline to scrum team via solution review and code inspection.

·       Ensure the software implementations are based on a sustainable technical solution and consistent with the product technology roadmaps and strategies.

·       Be responsible for evolution of assigned components and compose recommendations towards System Architect Team on changes on component-level architecture, internal/external APIs and usage of standards.

·       Review major technical design decisions, and present architecture/design decision discussion cross different teams. ·       Create and maintain technical documents when needed, e.g. component-level Implementation Proposal, component-level architecture design proposal, etc.       

Skill & experience required:  

·       At least 2 years’ experiences in the role of Software Architect.

·       Solid working experience of software development during full life-cycle of a product.

·       Be able to independently architect products/solutions.

·       Strong technical background on Web GUI development using HTML/AJAX/JavaScript/React/Redux.

·       Strong technical background on Web server application development.

·       Strong technical background on Web SW development. Be familiar with common SW technologies including OS, AS, DB, SOA Framework, load-balance, cache, authentication, security etc.

·       Strong technical background and work experience on data warehouse.

·       Big Data product development experience is a plus.

·       Has experiences on data analysis or data visualization is preferred

·       Has experiences on products or projects about DevOps is preferred.

·       Good business understanding.

·       Good communication skills.

·       Good leadership skills.

·       Good coaching and mentoring skills.

·       Fluent in both written and spoken English (must).
