POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Understand the business needs, engage and influence client to develop Sourcing strategies and execute Sourcing plan

2.    Follow Sourcing process to identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate and contract to deliver the total cost solution

3.    Work with Sourcing leadership team to enable regional/country Sourcing strategies /tactics implementation in Indirect Sourcing area

4.    Assist regional category buyer by participating or leading key strategic negotiations, or managing relationships with strategic suppliers when needed

5.    Identify and remove barriers and issues with implementation and governance execution

6.    Work with the qualification team and model best practices in negotiations, supplier performance management and data analysis.

7.    May work with project team leader to support capital Sourcing activities and implement best practice in China.

8.    Identify and alert business and operations of major commodity trends for industry, regulation, etc.

9.    Track the use of buying best practices and enable continuous improvement (ex. e-negotiations)

REQUIREMENTS:

1.        Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related discipline.

2.        Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in indirect procurement.

3.        Working experience in global multinational company will be an added advantage.

4.        Resourceful and possess excellent network with suppliers in China/ Asia-Pacific region.

5.        Excellent leadership, inter-personal, negotiation, analytical, communication and time-management skills.

6.        Team player, self-starter, self-driven, highly motivated, strive for excellence, hands-on with attention to details on both the processes and results, able to work under minimum supervision.

7.        Ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment.

8.        Ability to resolve conflict and deliver required results.

9.        Ability to communicate well in English, in both verbal and written communication.

10.    Exhibits high business ethics and principle-based behavior.
