Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Accounting and Reporting delivery:
？ Lead a team of R2R members to conduct month end closing and FCRS reporting for IM division to ensure the timely and accurate reporting.
？ Organize pre-closing and closing meeting with necessary involvement from process lead/SME
？ Review BSR and conduct quarterly BSR review meeting with divisional CFO
？ Prepare statutory report and coordinate on annual audit. 
？ Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for related policies and processes, drives continuous improvement & standardization to have an efficient & effective process 
？ Serves as technical accounting expert for IFRS and PRC GAAP. Interacts proactively with Divisions, regional/global technical accounting team, country FSC, statutory auditors to review significant contract, prepare accounting paper and ensure appropriate accounting and financial reporting. 
？ Support the transition of selected activities to Novartis Global Service Center (NGSC) to ensure the operation stability
？ Act as FSC liaison for special audit/investigation related to IM division.

Compliance
？ Ensure all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented, in line with Novartis standards and consistent with best practices as well as aligned with the Global Blueprint (when applicable)
？ Ensure compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements and implementation in internal guidelines
？ Ensure application of agreed Novartis control procedures and actively support to deliver SOX certification
？ Promote a strong and control environment and follow up on audit issues and implement correcting measures

People & Project Management
？ Role model a leadership style which is inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results driven
？ Manage a diverse team (on/off-shore and in multiple locations) to deliver a high-performing organization and driving a high degree of collaboration across country FSC and NGSC.
？ Measure and manage the workforce to cultivate a customer service focus culture
？ Build and strengthen the capabilities of the team by identifying, deploying, developing and overseeing talent within the function
？ Provide leadership, training and development to ensure unified teamwork and alignment with Novartis Values and Behaviours

Desirable Requirements: 
Education: (minimum/desirable)
？ University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant
Languages:
？ Mandarin plus fluent English (spoken and written)
Experience:
？ 10 years of financial experience, with in-depth functional expertise 
？ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization
？ Solid knowledge on IFRS and PRC GAAP
？ Previous experience in big 4 audit firm is a plus
？ SAP knowledge is preferred
？ Strong communication and collaboration skill
？ Profound people skills, leadership exposure
