Role purpose

?Support the Strategy and Planning team in developing the Corporate Strategy and initiating and leading key strategic projects at a high level of quality, against agreed objectives, budget and timelines.

Accountabilities

?Strategic projects can focus on the development of the strategic recommendations that are critical to the overall business success as well as the implementation of strategic decision in very close cooperation with senior management, other corporate functions and external top management consultants.

?Involve in screening of the environment for new business opportunities, which includes assessing political, economic, social and technological trends and identifying and evaluating innovative strategic opportunities and business models.

?Involve engagement in the area of defining the internal and external contracts in identified areas as well as developing entry strategies and implementation plans for such new business opportunities.

?Manage projects including cross-business, cross-functional, and external stakeholders plus development and challenge of the content of assigned projects, covering the entire span of Syngenta business activities plus prioritizing adjacent areas.

?Facilitates the China planning across businesses and functions to gain strategic alignment and enable delivery of business goals

?Support the development of the X-matrix based strategic agenda and manages PMO resource through effective deployment of team members and leads the tracking of strategic plans;

?Closely work with China Leadership Team (CLT) to ensure regional level Business Plan Review (“BPR”) contributing to the delivery of overall China strategy objectives and corporate goals.

Qualifications:

Critical knowledge

?Proved project management skill

?MBA or equivalent education is preferred

Critical experience

?Min. 8 years working experience in an international environment, desirably agro or adjacent industry

?Project management experience, including knowledge on key project management concept and tools, preferably within a consulting firm or leading multi-national company

?Extensive experience in managing diverse stakeholders on a Senior Management level

?Profound experience in strategy development and knowledge on key strategic concepts

?Experience in supporting the implementation of strategic decisions within the operational units

?Experience from working for agribusiness or adjacent industry companies; ideally in Commercial organization
