JOB STATEMENT



Responsible for sourcing project development and Sourcing project support to ensure the availability of purchased raw materials and finished goods with optimal prices and significant savings and quality. Responsible for supporting the GS category manager in developing a world class supplier base in China!


JOB DUTIES

? Liaise with internal Customers & Global Sourcing category Manager to get sourcing projects data inclu. all the requirements of specifications and drawings etc.

? Reviewing and studying the projects sourcing data and filing to the database;

? Maintain technical spec. and quality standards/requirements updated and make sure that suppliers are informed the latest ver.

? Based on the requirements and guidelines given by GS category manager or internal customers, developing RFIs to be used in the identification and qualification of new potential suppliers;

? Do supplier assessment together with sourcing manager and quality manager;

? Market Study for particular material category group under his/her responsibility in order to help developing appropriate sourcing strategy;

? Managing & Signing of NDA with Suppliers and filling the DNA to the database;

? Based on the requirements and guidelines given by GS category manager or internal customers, developing RFQs and send to suppliers; Analysis responses to RFQs and develop negotiation packages to help GS global category manager and senior category manager finalize selection process;

? Supplier Cost Breakdown analysis and follow-up

? Raw material pricing follow-up and foreign currency rate monitoring as reference to be well prepared for the price negotiation and updates

? Arranging Supplier visits to make the audit together with GS category Manager and to have supplier assessment together with SQM and filling the related reports to the database;

? Contractual formalities and finalization and updates with suppliers;

? Mass Production Order Follow-up: Supplier production schedule/lead time follow-up; technical discussions with internal units and engineering department; Supplier s rework coordination; Supplier corrective and preventive actions communications; Quality inspection on site arrangements and logistic handling coordination and Claim cost reimbursement arrangement.

? Monitor Suppliers' performance on an on-going basis; Analyze the performance of each vendor and make the SWOT analysis

? Under help of global category manager's help, create the supplier development plan and follow-up the development with suppliers and report the progress;

? Supplier Management in order to set up the trusted working relationship

? Work together with quality team to implement the quality inspection on site; Assist and coordinate with suppliers to deliver the quality docs on duly basis;

? Assist logistic Officer for delivery issues;

? Collect data/info. On raw materials, new regulations on export taxes, ect;

? Other assignment needed by the Company;



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

? Souring new suppliers and sourcing projects support;

? Supplier Quality and on time delivery;

? Supplier continuous development;

? Keeping supplier price level competitive;



RELATIONSHIPS AND AUTHORITY

· Reports to the senior manager of category management and GS global category manager;

· Liaise with Quality team for quality control;

· Liaise with Logistics Officer for the on time deliveries;

· Keep good and trusted working relationship with internal customers!

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

· 3-5 years working experience in a Hydraulic & Electric components Sourcing environment ;

· Familiar with Hydraulic & Electric products and branding;

· Degree or Diploma in hydraulic & Electrical & Mechanical Engineering or related field;

· Understand of process flows and control plans and implementations of those is plus;

· Exposure to ISO 9000

· Highly motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills

· Able to travel

· Computer literate

· Bilingual in English and Mandarin
