As an RnD Intern, you will be part of the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business and Robotics Business Line (BL), based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will contribute significantly to successful results in projects in Robot Systems Paint (RS-PPA) Product Group/ Robotics Business Line (BL)/ Robotics & Discrete Automation Business in Shanghai /China country/NAS region. You will serve as one of the key technical experts for industrial robot hardware related architecture/components development.

? Responsible for hardware design, development and verification in robot controller system.
? Verification and test on board and unit level.
? Support and solve problems during system level test.
? Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

? MS/PhD in Power Electronics Engineering.
? Experience on servo drive and power supply product development.
? Experience on C is preferred.
? Solid knowledge in analog, digital and power circuit design.
? Knowledge on international regulation/standard (ISO, EN, IEC, UL and etc.) is preferred.
? Strong communication skills.
? Highly responsible, self-motivated and autonomous at work.
? Good team work spirit and willing to contribute to the team’s success.
? Capable of managing changes and multi-tasks during the development phase.
? Fluent in both oral and written English.
