The successful candidate will operate as a member of Corporate Engineering Shanghai department design team. Responsibilities include working with department engineers to capture product concepts and requirements, creating and updating solid models of PCB stack-up, mechanical parts and electro-mechanical assemblies with strong experience in handset design or Smart phones. Creating detailed mechanical drawings, and working with external vendors for physical prototypes as well as OEMs and Smart Phone manufacturers for Smart Phone trends. The engineer will interface with internal staff in the fast-paced execution of a variety of multi-disciplined projects. Understands project goals and individual contribution toward those goals.

  

Skills/Experience

• Have been actively involved in the mechanical engineering and design of electro-mechanical devices for the smart phone and wireless industry.
• Have successfully delivered a couple of qualified designs to mass production.  
• Experience with defining outline, mounting, and I/O constraints of electronic circuit boards and flexible circuit interconnects.
• Expected to possess a strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals for working on complex design tasks with minimal supervision. 
• Experience with design fundamentals of CNC machined, injection molded, sheet metal, and die-cast metal parts. Good knowledge of mechanical part fabrication processes and optimization of assembly cost at various production volumes. Solid experience with electro-mechanical packaging and industry testing procedures.   Good knowledge of software tools for mechanical analysis, design and documentation.
• Working experience with CREO - Pro/E including top-down methods for assembly management.  
• Direct experience with thermal analysis and/or RF antenna design a plus.   BSME or above.
• Minimum 4~6 yrs mechanical design working experience.  
•   English speaking required.
