Purpose of Position

* Responsible for understanding auto interior industry future trends in China and translating into customer and industry technology roadmaps

* Develop market and competitor intelligence, critical customer knowledge and system level insights for value prop development to drive sustained competitive advantage for auto interior business

* Lead strategic customer technical engagements

Major Responsibilities

* Responsible for understanding auto interior industry future trends in China and translating into customer and industry technology roadmaps

* Understand auto interior industry landscape through discussion with customers, industry leaders and attendance at auto related tradeshows

* Translate into cohesive customer and industry technology roadmaps to drive auto interior 5-year technology planning

* Develop China market intelligence, critical customer knowledge and system level insights for value prop development to drive sustained competitive advantage for auto interior business

* Engage with auto industry value chain players to gather market intelligence, align with our internal roadmap and gather competitive intelligence when possible

* Gain understanding of infotainment system level performance/requirements and interactions with Corning products

* Develop and validate value proposition that delivers met/unmet customer needs and differentiates Corning products from competitors

* Lead strategic customer technical engagements

* Responsible for strategic engagements requiring deep technology engagement and promotion of Corning products

* Collaborate with Sales and Application Engineering when needed

* Ownership of Innovation and Technology Days with customers in China region

Requirements

* MS in science and engineering discipline

* Minimum of 5 years of track record in combination of technology and commercial roles

* Strong preference for individuals that have been Product Manager, Product Engineer or Application Engineer with automotive industry experience

* Ability to lead and operate in highly matrix organization with multiple reporting structures

* Strong problem solving skills, ability to stay calm under difficult situations and communicate clearly across organization

* Strong command of English language
