Title —— Compensation and Benefits Manager
Time Commitment —— Full-time, 2-year position
Location —— Beijing
About Teach For China
Established in 2008, Teach For China is inspired by the vision that one day, all Chinese children will have access to a quality education. Teach For China takes a unique approach to eliminating educational inequity by enlisting the US and China’s most promising future leaders in the effort. In partnership with the global network Teach For All, Teach For China recruits, selects, trains, and supports outstanding US and Chinese graduates to work side-by-side to deliver an excellent education in high poverty and rural Chinese communities.
In the short term, Teach For China’s Fellows are placed in full-time, two-year teaching commitments at under-resourced schools, where they meet the pressing need for exceptional educators. In the long term, Teach For China supports its alumni – equipped with the experience, conviction, and insight that comes from leading children to fulfill their potential – to be a force for change, working from across sectors to expand educational opportunity.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Develop and manage the implementation of the compensation, benefits and performance policy as well as the generation of processes according to the Teach For China growth strategies;
2. Continually update and improve Teach For China compensation and performance management systems of, manage the performance evaluation and presentation of related policies;
3. collect and organize information related to staff compensation (both foreign and Chinese) and process staff payroll on timely and accurately every month ;
4. Develop a benefits plan aligned with US and Chinese laws and regulations to improve staff’s benefits;
5. Cooperate with external service providers to ensure timely, accurate pay of Chinese staff’s social insurance, coordinate with external service providers to address staff questions;
6. Improve the performance management system, advance staff performance and explore KPI design for different positions. Track organizational performance, identify key indicators and generate improvement plan;
7. Conduct the annual compensation market research; optimize organizational compensation structure to promote competitiveness of Teach For China.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree required, HR major is preferred;
2. At least five years human resources experience in international companies, rich practice in compensation structure design, policy and process generation and performance management;
3. At least two years of experience in managing the compensation, benefits and visas of foreign staff;
4. Familiar with compensation structure design, statistical methods and tools of compensation research and performance appraisal system design;
5. Calm, careful, willing to cooperate and coordinate and skilled in process design;
6. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
7. Service mentality and program management skills;
8. Proficiency in English;
9. Proficient in using Excel and Words.

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience and language ability. In addition, health care benefits packages are included.
