Principal Application Engineer, Absorption
What you will do:
Recognized as expert in products, systems and disciplines in absorption product
solution family.Field Technical/Application Support
Support field sales on complex industrial systems related to application
/ technical / manufacturing per product specifications.Evaluate complex or industrial requests and give suggestion basing on
competition / applications characteristics for ABS products.Provide subject management expert assist for field sales and service and
if needed participate in the resolving site problem.
SQ Handling
Focus on SQs for ABS products with typical commercial and industrial
specifications.Management on SQ basic material
maintenance such as key components cost review and update, factory
manufacturing capability update, etc.SQ process review with related associates including sales team, engineering
team and manufacturing team to cooperate effectively.Regular SQ review for cost and
design standardization initiatives with product management and product
engineering team to improve efficiency and ease business process.Justify proper sub-vendors to meet field special requirements and negotiate
on scope of supply.
Expert solutions
Know well on ABS chiller
characteristics and product strategy in system design, consolidate effective
and competitive solutions according to project specifications on specified
applications and potential competitors.Take lead of accomplishing proposal
on commercial and industrial system by understanding ABS product strategy and regional
competition.Support field sales on
technical clarifications with customers. Visit customers on critical or large
projects if required.Define specifications for sub-systems so as to provide total solutions
to support sales project succeed.
Product Development
Participate in ABS products
modifications to meet new application requirements.Participate in publish
guides for: application literatures, presentations and training material.Provide field or customer
training presentations on product changes or new products.Site visits to get chiller performance
situations, competition information and to participate in solving performance
issues.Participate or take lead to
dedicate a reasonable solution on performance/quality improvement.
Product Application Development
Participate in activities for industry
organizations and technical seminars.Study codes/standards for new market requirement and provide
suggestion/report on engineering updates.Close communicate with global application team to get update information
on system design or application development.Consolidate and establish new
application cases.Visit field office or
customer to develop engineering trainings.
How you will do
Execute company's EHS
regulation. Identify environmental factor and hazard source related to job
position and take rectification measures if necessary. Know company's major
risk and important environmental impact factor, Ensure effective implement of
company's EHS goal and management solution.
What we look for:
Required
Bachelor’s degree (ME preferred) and at least 7 years of HVAC or refrigeration related experience in application engineering, product engineering or marketing is required.
Must have demonstrable business management skills in a product application environment and must be technically savvy, possessing strong knowledge of application and field practices relating to the identified products.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.
Preferred
Ability to envision and introduce creative tools for fast and effective interaction with the field combining high technical complexity and commercial interests in a seamless and user-friendly manner would be a significant plus.
Travel is required 30% of the time.
