Position Manager of Education Fresenius Institute of Dialysis Nursing (FIDN) - China (Shanghai) Campus
Summary of Position The position is located at Headquarters of Fresenius Medical Care Asia Pacific in China (Shanghai). The roles and responsibilities of the position include:
1. Manage the training delivered by the FIDN Shanghai Campus
2. Co-ordinate and manage the delivery of training of Registered Nurses employed with FMC based in China (Shanghai)
3. Ensure quality management of services delivered by the FIDN
Reporting Medical Director (China)
Qualifications and Experience University Graduate with a degree in Nursing or equivalent with postgraduate studies (training) in Education and nephrology/dialysis. The position requires that the candidate have spent at least 3 years in Education and/or clinical management role in a dialysis facilities delivering renal replacement therapy by dialysis,
The candidate should have and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be familiar with the tools and skills required for communication and peer education. Skill in quality improvement processes and clinical auditing desirable.
Complete and expert fluency in spoken and written English is a requirement. An understanding of Asian culture is an imperative.
The Business FIDN is unique to FMC, preparing registered nurses for our global clinic business. The curriculum prepares registered nurses for clinical leadership and is based on contemporary dialysis practice. Nurses achieve clinical competence in both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis practices.
Position in detail The position entails responsibility for the following:
1. Manage the educational programs and process: - Analyze effectiveness of the programs and make recommendations for advancement of the nurse program to Academic Director and Academic Management Team.
2. Implement the Professional education programs that have been developed in conjunction with FMC- Global.
3. Ensure quality and success of the educational programs delivery; Undertake Educational Audit Process.
4. Manage the educational process system for the program; participant progression and RN documentation.
5. Implement educational induction and mentoring programs for new lecturing staff in conjunction with Senior Director FIDN Strategic & Operations - AP and Steering Committee (Management) committee.
6. Manage the legal requirements for educational requirements of the program.
7. Manage the educational database.
8. Manage the Clinical Skills Laboratory, ensuring RN safety, staffing and operations.
9. Ensure Class room teaching facilities and equipment are functional and maintained to support quality education
10. Achievement of agreed performance targets for educational outcomes.
11. Provide exemplary customer service at all times to internal and external stakeholders.
Personal development The candidate is responsible for availing of and utilizing personal, corporate and other resources to
1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of treatment of end-stage renal disease
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FMC's products and services in renal replacement therapy
3. Develop and enhance person and job management skills
4. Participate in one or more courses of formal education seeking advancement of clinical and/or management qualifications
