As a Digital Application Specialist, you will be part of the Motion (M) Business and Motors & Generators (BL) Business Line, based on Beijing. ABB is the World leader in Motion (M) Business offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will be responsible to lead and manage technical development and deployment of digital/cloud application for ABB drives based on ABB AbilityTM Platform and be main coordinator with global and local teams in terms of digital/cloud technology.

? Working in Drives Service R&D as a digital technical leader working in Drives Service with global and local teams.
? Together with product mgmt. function to plan and realize roadmap of digital offerings of drive digital services.
? Take major role of contributing technical solutions in digital projects, covering but not limited to application cloud architecture, IoT/edge connectivity, data analysis and user experience.
? Project management with DevOps tools of development, testing, documentation, implementation, localization and deployment, by leveraging internal and external resources.
? Continuous integration and delivery of digital application by communicating and transferring product requirements into technical solutions, and also by utilizing the technology of IoT, cloud computing, Web/Mobile, data and AI.
? Close cooperation and coordinate with global project resources and LPG, as part of global digital and service R&D workforce.
? Supporting technical requirement specification and concept proofing of new technologies.
? Support local organization competence development towards digitalization.

? A Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or Automation preferred.
? Good knowledge of development of cloud architecture, docker, web/mobile application, IoT and data engineering, industrial automation and service background.
? More than 3 years of work experience in web/mobile application development.
? Customer focused, innovative mind set, Strong personal leadership, self-motivation and Excellent teamwork in multi-cultural environment skills is must.
? Strong communication in English.
? Project management experience will be considered as plus.
? A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
? A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
