Manufacturing at ABB ranges from assembly of customized industrial robots to advanced production of electrical switches and breakers. The innovative products we make, drive the world’s largest ships, connect remote renewable power sources with consumers, and automate complex industrial processes.

As an AME Manager, you will be part of the Motion (M) Business and Motors and Generators (BL) Business Line, based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Motion (M) Business offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will drive improvements throughout production in Large Motors & Generators Product Group/ Motors and Generators (BL) Business Line / Motion (M) Business in Shanghai /China country/NAS region. Reporting to the Plant Manager, your focus will be on optimizing the manufacturing process through innovation in a cost-effective way.

? Take the lead to review and evaluate the order before production regarding tools/ BOM/ Document, translation and release relevant production document/instruction from external, and make out internal process instruction.
? Keep liaison with cross function department to support, analysis, and solve the abnormal quality problem and unclear process during manufacturing, technical interface between production and engineering.
? Take the lead to improve process first pass yield in each process, figure out action plan to improve it from systematical, especially for repeated quality problem.
? Take lead to conduct internal process audit during manufacturing base on annual plan regarding documentation, equipment/tools, material, instruction follow up, operator handling, and summarize findings for continuous improvement and also participate in supplier audit.
? Lead CIP activity identify opportunities for safety, quality, labor efficiency and cost improvements, and work with other department and associates to implement those improvements, as well as factory layout optimization, capacity calculation and improvement.
? Implement necessary changes to optimize the production process, documentation process parameters and systems to improve the process quality, such as standardize and poka-yoke concept.
? Participate in new product transfer, lead to fix required equipment/ tools and fixture with support from SCM, and document review and preparation, relevant training organized, layout change if necessary.
? Responsible for new equipment/tools purchasing, prepare equipment/tools specifications and evaluate and assess capability and performance meet requirement before release to production.

? Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or relevant field.
? 5+ years of experience in process related function in a manufacturing company.
? Expertise and knowledge in electrical machines preferred.
? Proficient in MS Office & AutoCAD.
? High levels of energy and self-motivation, open minded, good communication and team skill.
? Fluent in Chinese/English.
