Job Summary:

Perform audit assignments within the scope of the Group Audit Services Department. Assignments include Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOA) compliance reviews as well as risk based audits.

The Internal Auditor/Senior Internal Auditor is capable, with appropriate guidance and supervision of performing a professional audit of the assigned auditable areas as defined in the audit universe for all units within this Regional Audit Group’s area of responsibility. This will include auditable areas within financial and operational functions of the business cycles and other business activities.

Job Scope:

• Serve as member of XYLEM HQ General Audit organization reporting directly to the Asia-Pac Senior Manager, Internal Audit.

• Perform the audit for Asia Pacific region encompassing all SOA testing for the region as well as other testing including balance sheet reviews, financial control assessments, FCPA compliance reviews, Contracts reviews and other special projects as identified.

• Prepare and execute detailed audit programs tailored to the project scope and potential risks. Adequately document work performed in workpapers with appropriate evidence for conclusions reached. Prepare written reports summarizing findings along with recommendations for improvement. Present and discuss audit findings and recommendations timely throughout the audit with the audit manager and assist in obtaining responsible management’s concurrence for needed actions, when directed.

• When performing audits, use adequate audit techniques including conducting proper interviews with key process owners to measure transactions and identify issues. Appreciate and evaluate the existing procedures and management practices within accounting, economics, treasury, operations, law, taxation, computerized information systems and modern management principles for the business activities reviewed. Recognize and identify the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems of internal controls, the compliance to laws and regulations, existing policies and procedures and the reliability of existing management information system applications.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate in accounting or finance degree required; MBA, CPA or CIA, CISA desirable.

  Minimum 6 years financial or related experience with a large multi industry manufacturing business enterprise OR Minimum 5 years experience with a major consulting or public accounting company (Big 4). Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

  Must have written and verbal fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
