Job Purpose:

 

The Global Supply Chain function is undertaking a Transformation. The planning COE role is key to enable transformation values achieving for planning workstreams, especially IBP workstream. The planning COE is responsible for implement / validating global standard tools and developing local analytical mechanism and tools to enable working efficiency cross business group and sub-regions in GRC. The planning COE has ownership to proactively work with key stakeholders to explore the business/operation needs and identify gaps, build business case and create analytical tools and reports to address needs/gaps effectively, deliver and communicate analytical result to support the decision making. This role is under GRC IBP deployment leader, starts from IBP workstream enabling.

 

Key roles and responsibilities:

 

• Gap analysis: Well understand global standard tools, proactively complete gap analysis between global standard and local practices and preference. Influence the optimization of global standard through cooperate with deployment lead or drive local optimization to enable the global standard implementation in GRC region.

• Develop local analytical mechanism: Develop local analytical mechanism and standard cross businesses and sub-regions to enable IBP smoothly implementing in GRC and moving forward mature along the journey.

• Change management: Drive the global / local standard tools implement in region and ensure the process (working instruction) updating with integrated documentation.

• Training & education: Ensure training / education deliver to all functions and enable the knowledge transparency in region.

• Program management: Maintains understanding of program progress, behavior changes, and ultimately benefit realization. Provide deployment lead and leadership through the completion of the program to ensure a smooth transition to local ownership and ensure work is part of “business as usual”.

• Problem solving: Lead activities with team members to ensure completion of activities and capture, address, resolve, and escalate risks/issues. Solves issues through information exchange, influence and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of other parties.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

• BS/BA in Statistics or Mathematics from accredited university/college are preferred.

• Exceptional collaboration skills across the organization.

• Proven ability to interact and effectively communicate skill.

• Quick learner, clear and logical thinking.  

• Good ERP business systems knowledge, ex. SAP R3 and SAP APO.

• Experience and knowledge in the Demand Planning are preferred.

• Proficient in data analysis tools, advanced use of Microsoft Excel and query tools such as Microsoft Access, Design Studio or Power BI

• Five or more years proven success experience in a fast-paced work environment, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines

• Strong business sense and analytical, problem identify and solving as well as decision trade-off skills.

• Detail oriented and ability to organize large amounts of work and data.  This includes the need for good documentation practices.

• This role is funded through April of 2022, with the intention to establish a permanent Planning COE role within Global Supply Chain once the transformation program is complete. The permanent role has not yet been approved, and if it is not approved and you are employed though the date the role is funded you will be eligible to receive severance in accordance with the terms of Medtronic’s Severance Pay Plan in effect at the time of termination.
