As a R&D SW Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division and Drive (BU) Business unit, based in Beijing. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) division offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

？ Working as part of the Drive Product R&D department, SW development team.
？ Development of Drive SW features and localizations.
？ Development & maintenance of SW automation testing system.
？ Testing drives and options’ embedded firmware, support the SW release testing.
？ Leverage best-practice software developing processes, utilizing appropriate tools.

？ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or Computer Science is preferred.
？ 3+ years of working Experience or Project Experience.
？ Study area or project experience preferably related to Industrial drive application, other control systems or motor control.
？ Expert with embedded system development, C, C# or C++ programming skills along with developing within real time embedded operating system environment; RTOS such as eCos, uCOS or RT-Linux is must.
？ Fluent in verbal and written English and Chinese communication and positive attitude is required.
？ Understanding of SW testing and test automation is preferred.
？ Experience of industrial applications, motion drives or controllers is advantage.
？ Knowledge of electric machinery such as PM motors, induction motors or linear motors.
？ Familiar in power electronic devices and related control methodology (PWM, vector control etc.).
？ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, at least a few weeks per year.
？ International (work or study) Experience will be considered as plus.
