We are looking for exceptional software design engineers in Test (SDETs) to join our team. We build the Manageability/Telemetry system of Microsoft SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online hosting, which cover such areas as health alerting, monitoring, diagnostics, system self-healing, analytics and reporting. Our goal is to make the management/administration of SharePoint (both as a server and a service) easier, more intelligent and cost effective.
About the team:
- As part of the Office organization, our team takes a customer scenario driven approach to defining usable and useful features for MS Ops, IT Pro, BDM and non-IT admins worldwide. As the owner of Manageability of SharePoint server and services, we are part of the success of the fastest growing enterprise software business Microsoft has ever had.
- We are a team that loves big challenges and has a long history of shipping global and market-specific features and technologies. We work on a broad set of technologies and problems: diagnostic instrumentation; data collection, aggregation and mining; high scale systems; intelligence around availability, reliability and scalability; problem early detection and self-recovery/healing.
About the position:
- You will join the team as a Senior Software Design Engineer http://blogs.msdn.com/b/techtalk/archive/2006/02/02/dev-at-microsoft.aspx> in Test (SDET). This position is for a highly self-motivated, talented, and results-oriented software engineer, who has the skills and drives to take a product from concept to delivery at high quality level. The team adopts scenario focused engineering to iteratively build and verify concepts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with agile development methodologies, capable of making appropriate trade-off decisions, and willing to make the correct technology investments in order to ensure the product's success.
Qualifications:
- BS, Master’s or equivalent in CS/EE/engineering
- Good problem solver; ability to do technical deep-dive, diagnose and debug into the inner workings of a complex system
- Passion for new technologies and ability to quickly understand and pick up emerging technologies and applications
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience of C/C++/C# software automation testing, shipping packaged or commercial software products or services
- Good collaborator; solid communication skills; fluency in both Chinese and English (spoken and written)
- Familiarity with server system, large-scale systems, software testing and automation, data mining and analysis are all big plus
