Partner Enterprise Architect - Application Platform
Role Description
Since its creation just over 2 years ago the Partner Enterprise Architect Team (formally known as the Bid Architect Team) has been working with Microsoft’s System Integrators (GSIs/SIs/NSIs) partners globally, providing them with access to senior Microsoft architects to assist with their customer proposals and thereby increasing the partner win rate on Microsoft Platform.
The role of Partner Enterprise Architect - Application platform within the Partner Enterprise Architect Team is an exciting and challenging role which brings together the disciplines of relationship management with key partner technical decision makers, pre-sales solution selling and technical architecture. Working with Microsoft’s enterprise partners, the Partner Enterprise Architect is ultimately responsible for supporting and serving partner technical needs on MS application platform. This includes supporting partner pre-sale technical responses, guiding partner technical architects in solution development and selling.
The team supports the majority of the Microsoft platform although there is a special focus on Application Platform, Private Cloud, Azure and Dynamics.
Key Accountabilities
The Application Platform Architect is accountable for:
Acts as the subject matter expert for Microsoft application platform and support partner technical needs
Develops, reviews and supports partner pre-sale technical proposals
Develops and reviews solution architecture for partner-led solution development
Ensures that solution will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
Provides detailed technical assessment for partners journey to cloud, both for public cloud as well private cloud
Collaborates with Microsoft Infrastructure Architects in developing public and private cloud solutions
Defines highly complex technology-based business solutions. Provides thought leadership regarding application design, architecture, and integration. Mentors partner pre-sale and deliver teams in the appropriate use of technology.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
A strong candidate will possess as many of the following skills and experiences as possible
10+ years enterprise technology pre-sales or consulting experience with deep expertise on Microsoft enterprise products and server platform
Deep Knowledge of Microsoft Application Platform Technologies
Deep expertise on atleast one of the server platform product (viz. SQL Server, Sharepoint, BizTalk, Dynamics) with breadth of knowledge on other server platform products.
A good exposure to Azure is preferable
Able to articulate value proposition of MS technologies over competition
Depth and breadth of knowledge in developing various Application platform solutions in BI, Cloud , Web, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content mgmt. and collaboration application is necessary
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills are required
Candidate must possess exceptional demonstrated decision-making, conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation skills
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering, preferably in Information Technology
- Microsoft Application platform certifications
