Provincial GM is a new and important role created for 2 provinces. As a key member of the China Leadership team, he/she is the one representative from Microsoft in the province hosting cross-segment activities targeting at customers/consumers, partners, media/press, government, as well as internal staff. He/she is responsible for landing the national plan in the local province and accountable for accelerating total business & services revenue and delivering the key business metrics in that province.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Cross Company Facilitation, Prioritization, Escalation, Communication
o Land the provincial playbook
o Identify and manage synergies across segments, functions and business groups in province
o Triage escalation issues according to integration priorities and drive to resolution
o Partner with Segment leaders and China COO to do check and balance of performance in the province, support the central ROB process.
o Synthesize themes and develop communication strategy including key messages to partners, customers, media, and employees in province - aligned to China all-up communication framework
o Maintain companywide perspective and model collaborative behavior internally & externally
o Act as the site manager, accountable for local facility & infrastructure decisions
Landing National Plan locally
o Engage and maintain local Government relations in partnership with PSG and NTO
o As the provincial owner of the National Plan, drive the execution of various National Planning initiatives across SMSG and even include ARD groups, monitor the provincial performance per national Planning dashboard (TBD)
Coaching and leading
o Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and development of new employees in province
o Coach and create a motivated, people-centered team of outstanding sales and marketing staff locally, with specific focus on developing sales management and leadership capability within the provinces
o Understand how to accelerate and manage a growing business in region, facilitate the change and expansion management process up and across the organization

Critical Qualifications and Experiences
Domain:
- Previous successful Subsidiary Sales and marketing experience, preferably involves “Starting up” or “significantly expanding” business in new geography across multiple functions and disciplines.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft commercial businesses (Sales and Marketing)
- Proven experience and strong track record of business building and leading change
Scope, Complexity, and Leadership:
- Ability synthesize competing feedback and drive decisions in a collaborative way
- Ability to influence diverse and potentially competing constituencies
- Successfully navigate a highly matrixed organization consisting of virtual and multi-disciplinary teams.
