We are looking for a few exceptional Software Development Engineers to join our ranks on the SharePoint Manageability team which has the charter to provide for world-class active monitoring, reporting & analytics and self-healing for our SharePoint Online service. We are the eyes and ears of SharePoint Online and are accountable for enabling the entire SharePoint organization to,
1. Quickly and accurately identifying SPO health issues and timely recovering problems with low cost.
2. Be the one-stop shop for accurate, timely and insightful information critical for running our SPO service
We are a team that loves big challenges, works with cool technologies (close collaboration with MSRA) and tackles a broad set of real world online problems (e.g. big data, online scale, rock solid industry leading availability, geo-redundancy, etc.) that is closely tied to Microsoft’s profitability. About the position
The successful candidate for this position is passionate about writing good quality code and getting things to work, is creative and eager to learn new techniques/technologies. He/she is confident in his/her own abilities and collaborates well in a cross discipline feature crew setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Work together with PM and Testing to build high quality products on schedule.
2. Design and implement feature code in Office product codebases.
3. Collaborate with other feature teams in Redmond and in other countries worldwide to integrate your features into Office products.
Qualifications:
1. A BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is required. Master in Computer Science is a nice to have.
2. Minimum of 3 years of development experience on a commercial software product or for a service
3. Proficiency in C# and .NET Framework programming is high desired but not required.
4. Experience in working with SQL Server or other database technologies.
5. Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese are essential.
6. Solid background on data structure and algorithm design and implementation.
7. Excellent problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
Experience in designing and implementing SharePoint solutions is a plus.
