As a Sales Specialist, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Business and Marine & Ports Business Line (BL) based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation (IA) Business delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.
You will be responsible for the sale of cutting-edge ABB in Marine and Ports Service Product Group/ Marine & Ports Business Line (BL) / Industrial Automation Business in Shanghai /China country/NAS region. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for sales of Crane electrical control system, crane service package and terminal automation solution for Container terminal/bulk terminal/power plant terminal/chemical plant terminal/Steel plant terminal in accordance with strategy. Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities.
? Sell crane electrical control system/crane services/terminal automation solution to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets.
? Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to end user/crane builder/design institute to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full systems/services offering, and align to provide a solution.
? Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
? Prepare sales plans/Sales report regularly using company tools. Perform regular status review and propose recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
? Visiting different customers regularly and be ready for urgent business trip both domestic and oversea. Create added value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contract and proposal by using effective sales techniques. Communicate details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
? Ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customer. Be competent to promote ABB technology during technical discussion meeting or technical seminar.
? Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
? Have regular meeting with overseas’ ABB organization to share the market information, discuss collaboration for specific projects in designate market.
? Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
? Bachelor’s Degree or above, major background in Electrical Engineering/Automation is preferred.
? 5+ years of experience in automation Industry, background in Ports/Crane is preferred.
? Good presentation, selling, communication and interpersonal skills.
? Proven ability to work as a member of a collaboration sales team.
? Willing to travel frequently and be competent to work independently.
? Fluent in oral and written English.
