For our Marketing, Sales and Product Management team, understanding the full potential of our technology and the trends in our markets is highly rewarding. As an Industry Manager-Semiconductor, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Business and Measurement & Analytics Business Line based in Beijing and Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation (IA) division delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.

Working within the Analytical & Force Measurement Product Group/ Measurement & Analytics Business Line/ Industrial Automation Business, you will implement all marketing strategies, in support of the sales team in Beijing and Shanghai /China country/NAS region. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will coordinate sales activities, events and market research to meet business objectives and increase market share.


? Maintaining a close business relationship with key industry experts and end user decision makers / influencers.
? Obtaining and driving a rolling project list.
? Developing strategic sales and market growth plans in conjunction with Product Managers.
? Product training to Local Business Units (LBU) and end users to ensure strong product knowledge.
? Training to Local Business Units to ensure sales tool competences.
? Supporting regional trade shows.
? Define product and application requirements for business growth.
? Define and commit to a business case for new products and applications to be released.
? Front end and back end order support including applications, product configurations, upgrade paths etc.
? The key internal point of contact for all sales / product issues in the semiconductor market.
? Developing and executing account strategies with the local account managers.
? Creating factory marketing material useful to local sales units and end users to promote products and solutions.
? Travel with local sales managers, sales team to promote PMU Quebec products within the semiconductor market.
? Sales support at the feed stage and bidding stage of projects.
? Technical support to the PMU including order entry support, applications and configuration clarification.
? Being the escalation point of contact for customer satisfaction issues and product concerns.
? Developing and relaying project/sales opportunities back to the LBUs and the factory.
? Responsible for the industry strategic growth.
? Responsible for business cases to support R&D investment in their industry.
? Maintain a positive working relationship with the product managers to keep the correct focus on short- and long-term strategy.
? Maintain a high level of knowledge concerning competition which may impact the sales and marketing efforts of ABB, regardless of the technology involved.
? Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.


? B.S Degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
? 10+ years of technical and /or sales experience.
? Expertise with specific accomplishments in technical and sales support, product promotion, training and in improving customer satisfaction and business relationships.
? Ability to quickly understand ABB market approach, customers and competitors.
? Should become an indispensable member of the global team and be their trusted advisor.
? Travel frequently on business work.
? Must be able to work with and influence the regional sales teams.
? Reside in North Asia (Japan, Taiwan, Korea or China).
