As a Mechanical Engineering Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics and Discrete Automation (RA) Business and Robotics (BL) Business Line, based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Discrete Automation (RA) Business offering a wide range of products and services including robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

You will achieve routine design/process jobs independently, practice and improve knowledge and know-how on Robotic painting and sealing application domain.

？ The design and development of the mechanical parts of new projects.
？ To work effectively and individually as a design owner for new project execution.
？ To support the testing of the design to ensure that the running performance meets the specification.
？ To complete the appropriate documentation required by manufacturing to build the painting/sealing system: including: Layout drawings/Bill of materials/Assemble/Testing procedures etc.
？ To support in all stages of the process including the handover to manufacturing.
？ To support with manufacturing, maintenance, and/or other groups in analyzing and resolving engineering problems.
？ Create & maintain appropriate, value-added engineering standards.
？ Collaborate with other technical and management resources to ensure uniform application of good engineering practice and relevant engineering standards.
？ Provide oversight of contractor detail design activities and review their work to ensure that engineering standards are being followed and that good engineering practice is being used.

？ A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
？ More than 2 years of working experience in an Engineering environment. Ideally in a company that develops products or engineering. For example: Automotive, painting application, robot engineering etc.
？ An experienced user of 3D CAD software: MicroStation/Solid works/Creo, etc. So, does AutoCAD.
？ Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering and systems, background of paint shop design, Robot painting application design, automotive product design and development will be preferred.
？ Familiar in Microsoft office programs including: Excel, Work and Power point.
？ Good communication skills and team player
？ A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
？ A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
