Job Description
Position: Manager, Operations
Department: Operations
Scope
Manage and lead the Operations functions in China in support to the management team to achieve the targeted results
Job Responsibilities
Operations & Planning
- Develop, announce and manage local business and sales processes/guidelines
- Develop, review the business model with management and evaluate improvement plans, especially on territory definition and named account guidelines
- Various cross-functional operation & planning initiatives including
? Sales operation
? Compensation planning
? Performance tracking Development of strategies for Operations team
- Generate and perform close-loop analysis and reports for regular reviews and planning purposes
- Implement country level Operations initiatives, lead and manage virtual / matrix and remote teams on corporate projects and their roll out
Sales Productivity Program Management
- Drive communications on identifying solutions on the identified processes
- Develop value propositions and communicate with executive management, field sales and other functional teams to gain sponsorship on adoption
- Identify business needs, collect enhancement requirements, usage/adoption feedback for future releases preparation
- Manage the year-end process
Sales Force Development
- Engage with China Region Sales Force Development team and develop quarterly training plans
- Communicate with field sales, technical, leadership team on training needs and status
- Rollout training deliverables, collect field feedback for continuous improvements
Global / Strategic / Major Account Planning
- Facilitate the Strategic Account Planning process for Major Accounts
- Communicate and leverage adequate resources for best practices sharing while support and enhance the learning process for account teams
- Coordinate with Global Account Managers to identify emerging technologies and business solutions opportunities for demand generation purposes
Skills required
l Typically requires 10+ years work experience, a BS/BA in Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Operations-related field
l Must be a strong business leader who has demonstrated extensive operational expertise, business vision, process development, cross-functional consultative execution and strong ability to work cross functionally within a fast paced hi-tech , multicultural work environment.
Ideally the right candidate will have
l Demonstrated skills involving participation in phases of the entire product/sales life cycle, systems/process improvement and development, program/project management
l Demonstrated evidence of experience with best practice process requirements. Must have demonstrated evidence of excellent leadership skills within a matrix environment
l Experience in remote management leadership by using superior oral and written communication / influencing skills
l Strong program management expertise required with responsibilities for multiple, broad based initiatives worldwide
l Ability to execute worldwide projects and follow through to completion in a deadline emphasized environment
l Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment and the ability to multitask effectively is required
l Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships with peers and executives among various sales, Customer Service, IT, marketing, business units
l Ability to clearly communicate complex technical or business issues
l Strong presentation, negotiation, and decision-making skills
l Should have the ability to understand and connect how processes use and create data; and apply basic data integrity concepts
l Uses expertise and creativity for innovative recommendations and solutions
l Attention to detail with focus on accuracy and completeness
